Product Description

With support for the 802.11ad Wi-Fi networking standard, the Talon AD7200 Multi-Band Wi-Fi Router from TP-Link is capable of achieving wireless data transfer rates of up to 7200 Mbps. The Talon AD7200 operates on the 60 GHz, 5 GHz, and 2.4 GHz frequencies allowing users to allocate more data intensive tasks to the super fast 60 GHz frequency. This frequency alone is capable of offering wireless data transfer rates of up to 4600 Mbps, while the 5 GHz frequency supports speeds up to 1733 Mbps, and the 2.4 GHz frequency is capable of speeds up to 800 Mbps.

The multiple bands offered by this router are backed up by MU-MIMO (multiple user, multiple input-multiple output) technology which utilizes the eight external antennas to offer four separate data streams. These separate data streams act as individual highways giving multiple users a direct connection to the router.

If the enhanced wireless connectivity isn't enough, the Talon AD7200 comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet ports and two USB 3.0 ports. The dual USB ports allow USB compatible devices such as external hard drives to be connected directly to the router. Once connected, users can transfer files, stream multimedia content, and more directly from the attached drives using the super fast 802.11ad wireless connection. To ensure the network remains stable and reliable, TP-Link has included a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor capable of handling multiple connections with ease.
